NEET Results 2018- How to Predict/ Estimate?
NEET Results 2018 is expected to be declared on 5th June, 2018. Many candidates try to predict/ estimate their NEET Score, percentile, Rank & whether they are eligible to be in the Merit List or Wait List for All India or State quota seats. Many private institutions also give unofficial predictions of NEET rank, results and cut off marks for different Medical or Dental Colleges.
NEET Results 2018 is predicted or estimated by many private coaching institutes using tools like NEET Rank Predictors. However, candidates should keep in mind that these are rough estimates. These tools are based on previous year’s NEET cut off marks, and opening and closing ranks of various Medical or Dental Colleges. Many of these factors vary each year. Moreover, the NEET rank predictions made by different institutions also vary widely.

While it is better to wait for the Official announcement of NEET Results 2018, candidates can get a rough estimate of their marks themselves by checking NEET OMR sheet and NEET Answer key for 2018. And, candidates can download NEET 2018 Answer Key, Images of OMR and Responses and Test Booklet Code of the candidates from the official CBSE NEET website, www. cbseneet.nic.in. This year, NEET OMR Sheet 2018 and Answer key were displayed from 25.05.2018 to 27.05.2018, 05:00 pm.

An important criteria for eligibility for admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses in 2018 is to secure NEET score within the qualifying percentile for respective category. According to the official CBSE NEET Bulletin, the NEET “percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the All India common merit list in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.”
NEET percentile based on highest marks
Check how to calculate NEET percentile based on highest marks obtained in NEET:
Let’s assume that the highest marks scored by the NEET topper is 700 and your NEET score is 650. Then, your NEET percentile will be 650 x 100/ 700 = 92.85
NEET percentile based on rank

Let’s assume that your NEET rank is 200 and the total number of NEET candidates is 11 lakhs. Then, your NEET percentile will be (11,00,000-200/11,00,000)x100=99.98
NEET Results 2018- Tie-breaking criteria
Another important factor that determines NEET Results 2018 is the inter-se-merit of candidates for tie-breaking. If more than one candidate have secured same marks for NEET, the inter-se-merit is determined in the following order:
(a) Candidates with higher marks in Biology for NEET.
(b) Candidates with higher marks in Chemistry for NEET.
(c) Candidates with less number of attempted wrong answers in NEET.
(d) Candidates older in age.
